Types of artificial turf
Artifical turf pile height
Pile height is measured from the backing to the tip of the fibres, this can be from 10-80mm. As a general rule the longer the pile height the more comfortable underfoot yet less resilient to wear the artificial turf will be.
Artifical turf face weight
Face weight is the weight of the yarn used in one square meter, this is usually between 2-3kg. Essentially the heavier the face weight the denser the fibres will be, giving the artificial turf a fuller look.
